Sadaqah Jariyah refers to an ongoing charity or continuous good deed in Islam. It's a form of voluntary giving that continues to benefit others, both in this world and the hereafter.

Unlike one-time charitable acts, Sadaqah Jariyah provides ongoing benefits that can extend beyond an individual's lifetime. It continues to generate rewards for the giver even after they have passed away.

Examples of Sadaqah Jariyah include building mosques, schools, hospitals, digging wells, planting trees, sponsoring an orphan's education, or contributing to a charitable endowment (waqf) that supports various beneficial causes.

While Sadaqah Jariyah can be given at any time, it is often encouraged during significant Islamic months such as Ramadan and Dhul Hijjah, as well as during times of personal significance, such as commemorating the passing of a loved one or during illness.

Sadaqah Jariyah benefits the giver by accumulating continuous rewards, even after death, and serves as a means of purifying one's wealth. For the recipient, it provides ongoing support and assistance, helping to meet their needs and improve their quality of life. Additionally, it fosters a sense of community and solidarity among Muslims, promoting compassion and generosity.
