The seeds of Crisis Aid were sown in the aftermath of the 2005 earthquake, where a group of friends from Luton, England, came together to make a difference. Witnessing the plight of those affected, our founders initiated a community organization that would soon become a symbol of hope. Volunteers from Luton ventured to Northern Pakistan, delivering emergency supplies to the injured and displaced, marking the birth of Crisis Aid.
Crisis Aid operates with utmost financial stewardship, ensuring that your donations create a meaningful impact. With four dedicated full-time employees overseeing revenue generation and expenditure tracking, our administrative costs are covered through various channels, allowing a remarkable 90p of every pound donated to directly support the appeals you select.
At Crisis Aid, we understand the importance of transparency when it comes to your generous contributions. We want you to have a clear understanding of how your donations are utilised, ensuring that every penny contributes to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
Any remaining funds are diligently redirected towards our ongoing appeals, ensuring that no contribution goes unutilised in our mission to alleviate suffering and bring hope to those in crisis.
Your trust and generosity empower us to transform lives. Thank you for being a crucial part of the Crisis Aid family. Together, we make a difference that resonates far beyond the immediate moment.
Our commitment to accountability extends beyond borders. We are first and foremost accountable to Allah, our Lord of the Worlds, following the teachings of the noble Qur’an and the sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH). Furthermore, we uphold accountability to the UK Charity Commission, donors, and trustees, our valued stakeholders. We continuously strive to enhance accountability, information sharing, and evaluation, ensuring that every action aligns with our mission and vision.
At Crisis Aid, we invite you to join us in creating a world where compassion triumphs over crisis. Together, we can transform lives and build a future filled with hope and dignity for all.
